Originally from Geneva Switzerland, drummer Noé Tavelli (1992) has developed an intense interest in music – jazz in particular – from his childhood on. This early passion has led him to pursue a career in music influenced by both a European and an American tradition.
He holds a Bachelor of Music with a special prize for the best jazz recital from the Lausanne Conservatory of Music (Switzerland) (2015) and a Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music, one of the US premier private conservatory of music.
He had the privilege of being taught by a wide array of drum luminaries such as Jeff Ballard, Jorge Rossy and Eric McPherson, Dan Weiss, John Riley, Justin Di Cioccio and Ian Froman.
Since 2018 Noé has relocated to Switzerland where he is keeping a busy performing schedule.
Despite his young age, Noé has already been to share the stage with major jazz figures such as Dee Dee Bridgewater and David Liebman. As a performing artist, Tavelli has also appeared with Ohad Talmor, Edsel Gomez, Richard Sears, Florian Favre, Jean Lou Treboux, Nat Su, Gabriel Zufferey, among many others. He is a 2015 recipient of the Friedl Wald Foundation for young talents. Since 2020 he’s been part of the Shems Bendali 5tet.

Théo Duboule (1992) is a swiss guitar player based in Lausanne. He began classical guitar at the conservatoire of Geneva at the age of 7, and at 18 joined The Lausanne Conservatory of Music (Switzerland), where he took part in projects such as OGGY & the Phonics, Gypsy Bop Combo, 3G Trio, Infinit Octet. He takes part in various progressive rock / blues / funk bands, and also has the opportunity to write for orchestra. He performed on Swiss and international stages (Marciac, AMR, Cully, Theater am Gleis, JazzClub Uster, Musig-im-Ochsen,
Rdv de l’Erdre, Petit Journal Montparnasse, L’Improviste, Budapest Music Center…)

He was selected in 2013 to participate in the tour « DKSJ » with a big band led by Ohad Talmor. In 2014, his « Infinite » octet was also selected to participate in the tour « DKSJ exchange nights ». In 2016, he took part in the semi-finals of the Montreux Jazz Guitar Competition.

François Lana (1986) begins the piano at the age of 11 years. After studying until 2010 alongside Richard Turegano and Manuel Rocheman in Paris, he continues his training between Lausanne at The Lausanne Conservatory of Music (Switzerland) and Brussels with Émil Spanyi, Eric Legnini, Matthieu Michel, Jacques Demierre, Vinz Vonlanthen and Pierre Audetat and obtaines a Master of Arts In Music Performance in 2014. In 2016, he obtaines a Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy at the University of Arts in Zürich (ZhdK – Switzerland) in the classes of Chris Wiesendanger and Toni Renold.

He has had the privilege of sharing the stage with Benny Golson, Buster Williams, Victor Lewis, Eric Legnini, ZJO, Marcel Papaux and Kaspar Kast. He has performed in Switzerland and France, including his own trio, François Lana Trio, Objectif Lune, Tenzin’s Airbow Collective, Louis Billette Quintet, Iliev Quartet and Gaspard Colin’s Short Cut.

Manu Hagmann (1980) began to play the electric bass at the age of 12. Since 1998, he starts playing double bass as an autodidact playing jazz in various groups and projects in Geneva.

Between 2006 and 2009, he follows a jazz double bass bachelor program at the Bern High School of Arts (HKB). In the same time, he won the Montreux jazz festival band contest and opens for a swiss tour of Rosario Giuliani’s quintet with the band Red Planet. With the Jean-Lou Treboux Group he records 2 albums, begins play on great swiss festival venues and win the Credit Suisse Jazzpreis of the Stanser Musiktage festival.

From 2010 to 2016 he involves himself in the group Orioxy with which he records 3 albums. He tours all over Europe and wins the Grand Prize of the Avignon International Jazz Contest in 2013.

Since 2012, he launches and involves himself and in the Florian Favre Trio with which he records 2 albums, tours over Europe et won the first prize and the “best bass player” award in the international B-Jazz contest in 2016.

In different big bands, he has the opportunity to comp international jazz musicians such as Tom Harrell, New York Voices, James Morrisson, Carlos Averhoff and Ricky Ford.

In 2016 he joined the Lausanne High School of Music (HEMU) in order to perform a Master’s degree in Jazz pedagogy. He also launches for the first time his own project for which he composed music, the Choice quintet.
